In the 37th minute, Mustafa Hamit Okcan reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Bulut Hozatlı. The goal made the score 1-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Kunter Uçanok kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Doğaner Dikmen. That made the score 2-1 in the 73 minute of play. Mustafa Hamit Okcan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bulut Hozatlı having to interfere. Derya Bucak fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bulut Hozatlı having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Derya Bucak in the 82nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bulut Hozatlı prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ahmet Korcan Yöntem's late challenge caught a Fenerbahçe's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. In the 97th match minute, Galatasaray was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ahmet Korcan Yöntem to maneuver through the defense. If Derya Bucak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 100th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
