After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Mustafa Hamit Okcan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fenerbahçe's supporters rose to their feet, but Mustafa Hamit Okcan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kılıçhan Ünlem breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mustafa Hamit Okcan in the 21st minute of play forced Kesan FK's goalkeeper Kılıçhan Ünlem to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Doğaner Dikmen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zekeriya Hanbeyi's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Zekeriya Hanbeyi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kesan FK's supporters rose to their feet, but Zekeriya Hanbeyi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Doğaner Dikmen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 30 minutes into the match, Kesan FK's goalkeeper Kılıçhan Ünlem had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Derya Bucak. Fenerbahçe's Doğaner Dikmen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zekeriya Hanbeyi in the 32nd minute of play. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind Fenerbahçe's goalkeeper Doğaner Dikmen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After having played for 40 minutes, Gaffar Mutluer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kesan FK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gaffar Mutluer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fenerbahçe's Derya Bucak got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gaffar Mutluer made a kick off. Mustafa Hamit Okcan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Derya Bucak came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Fenerbahçe fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Derya Bucak couldn't finish the play. 61 minutes into the match, Gaffar Mutluer dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Doğaner Dikmen, 0-1. Doğaner Dikmen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Zekeriya Hanbeyi in the 67th minute. If Derya Bucak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mustafa Hamit Okcan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Gaffar Mutluer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Doğaner Dikmen having to interfere. Gaffar Mutluer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 91 minutes into the match, Fenerbahçe's goal looked a bit too open when Gaffar Mutluer came free, but Doğaner Dikmen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 95 minutes of play, Fenerbahçe's Mustafa Hamit Okcan made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Kılıçhan Ünlem was left in no man's land by his defense there! The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
