With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ali Faruk Köker prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a little luck, Izmit FK's İsa Erginsoy got control of the ball when Kubat Sergen tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ilgaz Ünlü blasted a shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ali Faruk Köker having to make a save. Baransel Adalı fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ali Faruk Köker having to interfere. Kubat Sergen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Akrepsporu's zone, Baransel Adalı stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ali Faruk Köker came out of the goal and Baransel Adalı tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ilgaz Ünlü fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ali Faruk Köker having to interfere. Batıhan Onal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Baransel Adalı had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ali Faruk Köker made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ilgaz Ünlü in the 40th minute of play. Baransel Adalı fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ali Faruk Köker having to interfere. If Ilgaz Ünlü had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Batıhan Onal was the one to do the kick off. Baransel Adalıs short, quick shot in the 58thth minute got Ali Faruk Köker to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. A hard shot 59 in the game by Baransel Adalı from a close distance when the talented Ali Faruk Köker managed to make a qualified save. Akrepsporu's players were relieved. 60 minutes into the match, Izmit FK's Ilgaz Ünlü sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ali Faruk Köker narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Baransel Adalı managed to get in a good position for a shot. Izmit FK's supporters rose to their feet, but Baransel Adalı was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ali Faruk Köker breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 95 played minutes Akrepsporu got a freekick which was hit by Hidayet Ülgenalp. When the match was over Izmit FK could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Akrepsporu throughout the match.
