A collision led to Datca getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Atabey Zeynel hit a great ball. Güvenç Sağbilge made a fantastic save in the 5th minute, when Kutay Ergüner sent off a good shot on target. Serik were furious when Kuddusî Mengüer was red carded, 8 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 7th minute of the game. One of Serik:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Datca:s goal. Atabey Zeynel placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Serik's Veysel Şerafeddin got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Güvenç Sağbilge made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Kutay Ergüner sent off a good shot on target. Osman Bostancıoğlu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Güvenç Sağbilge tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Özalp Ulutay received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. In the 31st minute of the match, Kutay Ergüner got a very nice opportunity to score, but Güvenç Sağbilge was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. If Serbülent Kurhan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kutay Ergüner got free with Güvenç Sağbilge in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 37th minute, Özalp Ulutay ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Güvenç Sağbilge was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. With his leg Güvenç Sağbilge managed to avoid a goal in the 45thth minute, when Serik's Kutay Ergüner fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When Osman Bostancıoğlu came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Serik fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Osman Bostancıoğlu couldn't finish the play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Kutay Ergüner made a kick off. In the 53rd minute of the match, Serbülent Kurhan got a very nice opportunity to score, but Rafettin Ekiner was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. With a little luck, Serik's Rafettin Ekiner got control of the ball when Serbülent Kurhan tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Serik getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Veysel Şerafeddin hit a great ball. Serik's Kutay Ergüner got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the Datca defense, Özalp Ulutay kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Güvenç Sağbilge. The Datca fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Güvenç Sağbilge should have stopped the shot. In the 69th match minute, Serik was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Veysel Şerafeddin to maneuver through the defense. Kutay Ergüner recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 75 minutes into the game, Osman Bostancıoğlu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Serik's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Datca the free kick. After 75 played minutes Serik got a freekick which was hit by Osman Bostancıoğlu. The crowd rose to their feet as Datca's Atahan Yağıztekin slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Rafettin Ekiner. That made the score 2-1 after 76 minutes of play. Atahan Yağıztekin took the ball and in the 81 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rafettin Ekiner. Rafettin Ekiner dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. If Kutay Ergüner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Özalp Ulutay came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Serik fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Özalp Ulutay couldn't finish the play. Serik were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
