If Serbülent Kurhan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Datca's Güvenç Sağbilge played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mehmet Bedri Akkurt in the 9th minute of play. Atahan Yağıztekin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sinan Şerafeddin got free with Güvenç Sağbilge in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Şakir Asya's late challenge caught a Datca's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Şakir Asya helped the player get up and apologised. In the 89th match minute, FENERBAHCE SK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Şakir Asya to maneuver through the defense. Datca were awarded a corner in the 92th minute after FENERBAHCE SK's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Atabey Zeynel took the corner. Duran Askeroğlu hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. The FENERBAHCE SK supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing FENERBAHCE SK would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
