Vecdet Yaltırak tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hakan Kutlughan in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vecdet Yaltırak prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 40 minutes in the game, Hakan Kutlughan dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. In the 44th minute of the match Alsancak FK got a corner. MERT Y.İ. FK's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Atabey Salcan ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Atabey Salcan almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but MERT Y.İ. FK's Vecdet Yaltırak did a great save. 46 minutes into the match, MERT Y.İ. FK's İlyas Tolga Uygun sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Timur Aktar narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Hakan Kutlughan took the ball and in the 79 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vecdet Yaltırak. The audience thought a goal was coming when Şentürk Tekinel got free with Vecdet Yaltırak in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Şentürk Tekinel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hakan Kutlughan blasted a shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Vecdet Yaltırak having to make a save. When the final whistle sounded Alsancak FK left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than MERT Y.İ. FK.
