In the 18th minute, Kahramanmaras's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Cemil Baykal fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Erberk Erdursun fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without İskender Teber having to interfere. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Engin Tunç prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

If Erberk Erdursun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Kahramanmaras's Eren Makbul slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Engin Tunç. That made the score 0-1 after 90 minutes of play. The Sultanbeyli fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Kahramanmaras were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
