Mahmut Urgun took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 28th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ediz Tunçboğa. Galatasaray's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Erbatur Tatu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a rather tough play, Galatasaray's İlhan Evvel got a free kick in the 32nd minute. After 37 minutes of play, Galatasaray's Ateş Haylaz made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ali Nejat Olgaç was left in no man's land by his defense there! The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mustafa Emrah Adıvar was the one to do the kick off. Emrah Mutlutekin kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. When Eser Dirayet, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 70 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Ali Nejat Olgaç was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. In the 76th minute of the game, Ateş Haylaz landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. Ediz Yazgan's late challenge caught a Galatasaray's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ediz Yazgan helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Galatasaray booed when Beytüssebap was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ediz Yazgan didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 79th minute the ball was on its way in behind Beytüssebap's goalkeeper Ali Nejat Olgaç, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Beytüssebap's zone, Eser Dirayet stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ali Nejat Olgaç came out of the goal and Eser Dirayet tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ulaş Umar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Ali Nejat Olgaç tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 88 played minutes Galatasaray got a freekick which was hit by Nuralp Ramiz. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eser Dirayet in the 97th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ali Nejat Olgaç prevented the ball from getting in the gole. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Galatasaray had played much better football throughout.
