The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 6th minute of the game. One of Yildirim:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Bartın Sk:s goal. Mehmet Halis İnegöllü in the 16thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Orkun Sulasi, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After 17 played minutes Yildirim got a freekick which was hit by Alphan Talip. After a defensive mix-up in Yildirim's zone, Mehmet Halis İnegöllü stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Orkun Sulasi came out of the goal and Mehmet Halis İnegöllü tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kurtuluş Tuğkan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Özen Reşan having to interfere. 39 minutes into the match, Yildirim's goalkeeper Orkun Sulasi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mehmet Halis İnegöllü. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Özdemir Koytan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Orkun Sulasi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mehmet Halis İnegöllü, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Özen Reşan made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Mehmet Ali Okgüç sent off a good shot on target. Mehmet Halis İnegöllü received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Orkun Sulasi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tuncer Kutuner charged in rather forcefully in the 60th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tuncer Kutuner the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 60th minute, Tuncer Kutuner hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ahmet Hasan Özyurt was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 61st played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Bartın Sk were awarded a corner in the 65th minute after Yildirim's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ahmet Hasan Özyurt took the corner. After taking down the ball on Bartın Sk's corner Ahmet Hasan Özyurt fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Orkun Sulasi quite easily take care of the ball. If Kurtuluş Tuğkan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 77th minute, Kurtuluş Tuğkan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
