If Abdi Mehmet Koçarslan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abdi Mehmet Koçarslan in the 22nd minute of play forced Side JK's goalkeeper Abdulaziz Yanaç to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Giray Sezmen fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Side JK's protests and gave Giray Sezmen a yellow card for diving instead. In the 24th minute, Giray Sezmen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Side JK getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Cenk Öveç hit a great ball. 28 minutes into the game, Enis Kadri was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Köln F.C's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Side JK the free kick. Feyyaz Değirmencioğlu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Buğrahan Yüce in the 45th minute of play. In the 46th minute, Çakabey Katib made a precise shot to the right of Feyyaz Değirmencioğlu. Köln F.C's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Volkan Gençyaz to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Köln F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Buğrahan Yüce came free, but Feyyaz Değirmencioğlu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Side JK booed when Köln F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Çelik Yalvaç didn't get a good kick on the ball.
