Kepez Taksi's defense didn't have a chance, in the 15th minute, when Tuncay Niyaz scored to the left of an out of position Gökhun Kutunalp, making the score, 1-0. Enis Behiç Muzaffer scored 2-1 in the 32nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gökhun Kutunalp, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 40 minutes into the match, Gonyaspor's goal looked a bit too open when Köksal Başarman came free, but Arif Ozan Patlar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Köksal Başarman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Arif Ozan Patlar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 48 minutes into the match, Köksal Başarman had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Arif Ozan Patlar. Gonyaspor's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Köksal Başarman was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Tuncay Niyaz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Gonyaspor getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Engin Çakar hit a great ball. The referee felt a red card was in order, 68 minutes into the game, when Aytekin Özbal put in a rough tackle. In a very dangerous position, a player in Kepez Taksi fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 68th minute. Penalty! In the 70th minute there was a penalty for Gonyaspor. Baykam Erendiz stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Gökhun Kutunalp. 3-2. Seyfettin Çerağ charged in rather forcefully in the 88th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Seyfettin Çerağ the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 88 played minutes Kepez Taksi got a freekick which was hit by Seyfettin Çerağ. If Tuncay Niyaz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tuncay Niyaz in the 99th minute of play forced Kepez Taksi's goalkeeper Gökhun Kutunalp to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the Kepez Taksi players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Gonyaspor.
