In the 10th minute, Çağatay Kıvanç hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Güngör Yaves managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bursa's supporters rose to their feet, but Güngör Yaves was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ahmet Harun Bartu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ahmet Harun Bartu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zülfü Soysal in the 13th minute of the match. Güngör Yaves could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Ahmet Harun Bartu made a huge save. 16 minutes into the match, Besiktas's goalkeeper Ahmet Harun Bartu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Yücel Baroğlu. The audience thought a goal was coming when Güngör Yaves got free with Ahmet Harun Bartu in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Güngör Yaves's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 28thth minute, Ahmet Harun Bartu skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 29th minute, Yücel Baroğlu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Güngör Yaves came free with the goalkeeper in the 36th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Ahmet Harun Bartu could save by the left post. Besiktas were furious when Çağatay Kıvanç was red carded, 38 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 37th minute of the game. One of Besiktas:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Bursa:s goal. Thanks to some nice moves Güngör Yaves could shoot a difficult shot in the 44th minute, which Ahmet Harun Bartu however easily saved by the left post. In the 46th minute, Zülfü Soysal reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ahmet Harun Bartu. The goal made the score 3-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Güngör Yaves made the kick off in the second half. Ahmet Harun Bartu came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by Bursa's Zülfü Soysal. But to his dismay, Zülfü Soysal quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Ahmet Harun Bartu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zülfü Soysal in the 55th minute of play. If Bilge Kamber had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Kutlay Hamurcu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Ahmet Kağan Rahmi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Besiktas's Ahmet Harun Bartu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Güngör Yaves in the 62nd minute of play. Kutlay Hamurcu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 66 played minutes Besiktas got a freekick which was hit by Varol Özaltay. After 71 played minutes Bursa got a freekick which was hit by Arda İplikçi. An unexpectedly hard shot by Güngör Yaves in the 75th minute of play forced Besiktas's goalkeeper Ahmet Harun Bartu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Besiktas's Ahmet Harun Bartu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zülfü Soysal in the 76th minute of play. Ahmet Harun Bartu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Güngör Yaves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ahmet Kağan Rahmi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Semen Cherepanov having to interfere. After some careless play in the Besiktas defense, Zülfü Soysal kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ahmet Harun Bartu. The Besiktas fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ahmet Harun Bartu should have stopped the shot. Zülfü Soysal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ahmet Harun Bartu having to interfere. 90 minutes into the match, Zülfü Soysal had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ahmet Harun Bartu. Besiktas's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Zülfü Soysal was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-0. When the referee ended the match the Bursa players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
