Spectators: 7227 (Terracing: 5422, Seating: 1662, VIP seats: 143) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ünsal Dalokay started the match with the kick off. 3 minutes into the match, Galya FC's goal looked a bit too open when Afşin Hoyrat came free, but Aşık Tamerk reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kuddusî Usbay fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aşık Tamerk having to interfere. Aşık Tamerk stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Yıldıray Tümerkin's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. 11 minutes into the game, FENERBAHÇE AY SK's Kuddusî Usbay nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Aşık Tamerk made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. After some careless play in the FENERBAHÇE AY SK defense, Semail İpçi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kemal Evvah. The FENERBAHÇE AY SK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kemal Evvah should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Galya FC getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Ali Ömer Ülgener hit a great ball. Vefa Taze, 24 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Yıldıray Tümerkin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Semail İpçi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Yıldıray Tümerkin to make the kick off. Kuddusî Usbay received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Aşık Tamerk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 55 minutes into the match, Galya FC's goal looked a bit too open when Kuddusî Usbay came free, but Aşık Tamerk reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aşık Tamerk showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kuddusî Usbay in the 60th minute of the match. Aşık Tamerk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Özal Canalp in the 62nd minute of play. Kuddusî Usbay took the ball and in the 64 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Aşık Tamerk. Aşık Tamerk dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. FENERBAHÇE AY SK's Kuddusî Usbay got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Yıldıray Tümerkin in the 75th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Aşık Tamerk saved Galya FC from getting behind. Galya FC's Aşık Tamerk played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kuddusî Usbay in the 77th minute of play. When Ali Ömer Ülgener fell near the penalty area in the 81st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Galya FC's protests and gave Ali Ömer Ülgener a yellow card for diving instead. Yıldıray Tümerkin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Aşık Tamerk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Yıldıray Tümerkin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aşık Tamerk having to interfere. Şenel Zevahir kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. After 89 minutes, Yıldıray Tümerkin made it 4-1 with a short kick to the right side. Galya FC's Aşık Tamerk tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Yıldıray Tümerkin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Aşık Tamerk read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play.
