After a rather tough play, KAS EUPEN's Balamir Sözmen got a free kick in the 12th minute. 20 minutes into the match, Hanak's goal looked a bit too open when Balamir Sözmen came free, but Binali Perk reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Hanak booed when KAS EUPEN was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Balamir Sözmen didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bican Mutluer in the 37th minute of play forced KAS EUPEN's goalkeeper Ulu Sarı to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Bican Mutluer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Hanak's zone, Ferman Mümtaz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Binali Perk came out of the goal and Ferman Mümtaz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Binali Perk showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Balamir Sözmen, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Ferman Mümtaz managed to get in a good position for a shot. KAS EUPEN's supporters rose to their feet, but Ferman Mümtaz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Binali Perk breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ant Onar in the 48th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ulu Sarı saved KAS EUPEN from getting behind. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bican Mutluer was the one to do the kick off. Ulu Sarı took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bican Mutluer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bican Mutluer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ulu Sarı having to interfere. Bican Mutluer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ant Onar got free with Ulu Sarı in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 79th minute, Balamir Sözmen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ulu Sarı showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bican Mutluer in the 81st minute of the match. When Bican Mutluer came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Hanak fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bican Mutluer couldn't finish the play.
