Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Koray Yuvakuran started the match with the kick off. After having played for 6 minutes, Tuncer Canbek managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gevas JK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tuncer Canbek was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rafettin İğdemir made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tuncer Canbek in the 9th minute. Rafettin İğdemir was a little too slow when Orhun Yekta got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 11th minute. The score was now 1-0. Orhun Yekta struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Rafettin İğdemir didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gevas JK. 22 minutes into the match, Orhun Yekta dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Rafettin İğdemir, 2-0. When Orhun Yekta came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Gevas JK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Orhun Yekta couldn't finish the play. In the 31st minute, Karahan Taşkesen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 32nd minute of the match Çakır Balıkçı shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rafettin İğdemir showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 38 played minutes Gevas JK got a freekick which was hit by Saip Eskioğlu. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tuncer Canbek got free with Rafettin İğdemir in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 46 minutes into the game, Tuncer Canbek lined in a short shot 3-0 behind a frustrated Rafettin İğdemir. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Orhun Yekta to make the kick off. After 56 played minutes, Gevas JK's Enginalp Makbul shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Rafettin İğdemir came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Gevas JK reached it. In the 67th minute, Tuncer Canbek ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rafettin İğdemir was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. In the 70th minute Orhun Yekta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rafettin İğdemir saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Saip Eskioğlu kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Rafettin İğdemir was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
