With splendid footwork Egemen Okboğa arrived in front of goal to shoot 1-0 by the left pole in the game's 8th minute. 16 minutes into the game, Sabuncupınar SK's Akay Çetinoz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Peyami Sarper made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. If Akay Çetinoz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Akay Çetinoz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Peyami Sarper read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. 28 minutes into the game, Egemen Okboğa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Peyami Sarper was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Egemen Okboğa in the 31st minute of play forced Balikesir's goalkeeper Peyami Sarper to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Akay Çetinoz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Peyami Sarper was relentless in the 86th minute of the game.
