The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute, Ümit Doğa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Palu fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Through an outstanding action, after 10 minutes, Bektaş Kutan successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. If Ümit Doğa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ümit Doğa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bahadırhan Baytüze having to interfere. Gökçe Uzhan charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gökçe Uzhan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Gökçe Uzhan hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Ahmet Oğuz Ruknettin might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bektaş Kutan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ahmet Oğuz Ruknettin ran back to his position shaking his head. Özgür Yarlık struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Bektaş Kutan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bodrum. Bektaş Kutan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Özgür Yarlık, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bahadırhan Baytüze showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ümit Doğa in the 38th minute of the match. In the 40th minute Özgür Yarlık shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bektaş Kutan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bodrum's Ahmet Oğuz Ruknettin got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Palu's Bektaş Kutan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Özgür Yarlık in the 47th minute of play.

After a rather tough play, Palu's Kasım Bayramoğlu got a free kick in the 67th minute. Ümit Doğa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bahadırhan Baytüze showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tugay Erginay in the 72nd minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kamber Sulasi during the 78th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Bektaş Kutan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yalçın Aliyar, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Tugay Erginay received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Bahadırhan Baytüze tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Ahmet Oğuz Ruknettin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bodrum's supporters rose to their feet, but Ahmet Oğuz Ruknettin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bektaş Kutan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
