The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Halil Can Hacısalihoğlu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ümit Doğa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Palu's zone, Azmi Çalkın stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bektaş Kutan came out of the goal and Azmi Çalkın tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Azmi Çalkın came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Lapseki JK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Azmi Çalkın couldn't finish the play. If Azmi Çalkın had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 48th minute, Müslüm Yiğiter got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Azmi Çalkın stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 54 minutes, Müslüm Yiğiter made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Palu's Bektaş Kutan tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Bektaş Kutan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Müslüm Yiğiter in the 60th minute of the match. Azmi Çalkın received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Bektaş Kutan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bektaş Kutan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Azmi Çalkın in the 67th minute of play. 69 minutes into the game, Ender Bolat was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Palu's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lapseki JK the free kick. In a very dangerous position, a player in Palu fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 68th minute. Penalty! In the 79th minute, Ender Bolat sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Lapseki JK's Halil Can Hacısalihoğlu didn't even have to move. In the 87thth minute of the game Müslüm Yiğiter who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Palu's Bektaş Kutan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Lapseki JK's Müslüm Yiğiter in the 91st minute got a chance for a shot 91st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Palu's goalie prevented a goal. Müslüm Yiğiter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee ended the match the Lapseki JK players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
