If Hakkı Deniz Sidal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of AŞKIN SK booed when Lapseki JK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Azmi Çalkın didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cihangir Bozyiğit made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Azmi Çalkın in the 24th minute of play. 25 minutes into the match, Lapseki JK's goal looked a bit too open when Anibal Lopez de Toro came free, but Halil Can Hacısalihoğlu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Azmi Çalkın scored 0-2 in the 27th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cihangir Bozyiğit, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 30 minutes into the match, AŞKIN SK's goal looked a bit too open when Azmi Çalkın came free, but Cihangir Bozyiğit reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 40thth minute of the game Müslüm Yiğiter who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but AŞKIN SK's Cihangir Bozyiğit was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Azmi Çalkın struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Cihangir Bozyiğit didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lapseki JK. In the 45th minute, AŞKIN SK's Anibal Lopez de Toro dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-3. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The Lapseki JK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Halil Can Hacısalihoğlu should have stopped the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Kazım Rahmi managed to get in a good position for a shot. AŞKIN SK's supporters rose to their feet, but Kazım Rahmi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Halil Can Hacısalihoğlu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Anibal Lopez de Toro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Halil Can Hacısalihoğlu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kazım Rahmi in the 69th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Müslüm Yiğiter got free with Cihangir Bozyiğit in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Müslüm Yiğiter came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Lapseki JK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Müslüm Yiğiter couldn't finish the play. 76 minutes into the match, AŞKIN SK's goal looked a bit too open when Mümin Verim came free, but Cihangir Bozyiğit reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 78th minute of the match, Azmi Çalkın tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Cihangir Bozyiğit saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 84th minute, Sadettin Suheyl hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Halil Can Hacısalihoğlu came out of the goal and Kazım Rahmi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Lapseki JK supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Lapseki JK would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
