The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Vecdet Tunçdağ showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Genco Oğuzbay in the 3rd minute of the match. 4 minutes into the game, Onur Ali Kılınç was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ceyhanspor's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave B.Bağı Sk. the free kick. In the 4th match minute, Ceyhanspor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Onur Ali Kılınç to maneuver through the defense. Başar Zeki sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 9th minute of the match, Genco Oğuzbay tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Vecdet Tunçdağ saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Genco Oğuzbay's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vecdet Tunçdağ read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. Ahmet Bülent Ulgu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Vecdet Tunçdağ made a huge save. The supporters of Ceyhanspor booed when B.Bağı Sk. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aktuğ Horasan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Genco Oğuzbay received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Vecdet Tunçdağ tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Genco Oğuzbay sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ahmet Bülent Ulgu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Vecdet Tunçdağ tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 32nd minute, Başar Zeki ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Atilla Bumin Tezay was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Ahmet Bülent Ulgu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Vecdet Tunçdağ made a huge save. B.Bağı Sk.'s goalkeeper couldn't reach when Genco Oğuzbay 38 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-1. In the 43rd minute, Aktuğ Horasan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ahmet Bülent Ulgu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Vecdet Tunçdağ tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 47th match minute, Ceyhanspor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kaan Adsoy to maneuver through the defense. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Genco Oğuzbay made the kick off in the second half. If Ahmet Bülent Ulgu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 55 minutes, Aktuğ Horasan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the B.Bağı Sk. and the Ceyhanspor players grew even worse after the yellow card. Aktuğ Horasan kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Vecdet Tunçdağ made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ahmet Bülent Ulgu in the 57th minute of play. Ahmet Bülent Ulgu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vecdet Tunçdağ having to interfere. When Ahmet Bülent Ulgu came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Ceyhanspor fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ahmet Bülent Ulgu couldn't finish the play. Kaan Adsoy's late challenge caught a B.Bağı Sk.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kaan Adsoy helped the player get up and apologised. In the 66th minute, Kaan Adsoy hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ceyhanspor's Atilla Bumin Tezay proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Ceyhanspor from getting a goal against them. Ahmet Bülent Ulgu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vecdet Tunçdağ having to interfere. The supporters of Ceyhanspor booed when B.Bağı Sk. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fazıl Hüsnü Uluman didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to B.Bağı Sk. getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Yağızalp Yalınay hit a great ball. Ceyhanspor's Ahmet Bülent Ulgu managed to work through B.Bağı Sk.'s defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Ahmet Bülent Ulgu dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Genco Oğuzbay recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Genco Oğuzbay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the final whistle went the supporters of B.Bağı Sk. were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Ceyhanspor side.
