In the 23rd minute, Atilla Tarkan Bozok got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 28th minute, Ahmet Asım Safih had to leave the field with a concussion. When Aybars Uran fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SiDe GenÇ's protests and gave Aybars Uran a yellow card for diving instead. Aybars Uran kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Levent Sualp made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Halil İbrahim İzzettin sent off a good shot on target. Yakut Eyüpoğlu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Nusrettin Seyfullah tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 36 minutes into the match, SiDe GenÇ's goal looked a bit too open when Halil İbrahim İzzettin came free, but Levent Sualp reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Halil İbrahim İzzettin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mustafa Ali Kura hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Göktuğ Çelikkan in the 46th minute of play forced SiDe GenÇ's goalkeeper Levent Sualp to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Halil İbrahim İzzettin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Yakut Eyüpoğlu to make the kick off. Halil İbrahim İzzettin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alparslan Parsbay received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Levent Sualp tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mustafa Ali Kura kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Halil İbrahim İzzettin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Levent Sualp having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in SiDe GenÇ's zone, Göktuğ Çelikkan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Levent Sualp came out of the goal and Göktuğ Çelikkan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Halil İbrahim İzzettin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 65th minute the ball was on its way in behind SiDe GenÇ's goalkeeper Levent Sualp, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Halil İbrahim İzzettin in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Levent Sualp saved SiDe GenÇ from getting behind. Atilla Tarkan Bozok in the 70thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Nusrettin Seyfullah, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Halil İbrahim İzzettin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Levent Sualp tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Resulhan Ağca recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 75th minute the ball was on its way in behind SiDe GenÇ's goalkeeper Levent Sualp, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Nusrettin Seyfullah showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yakut Eyüpoğlu, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. If Atilla Tarkan Bozok had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 86th minute Halil İbrahim İzzettin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Levent Sualp saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. SiDe GenÇ's Levent Sualp played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alparslan Parsbay in the 95th minute of play. After 96 minutes, Mustafa Ali Kura mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SiDe GenÇ and the Lüleburgaz FK players grew even worse after the yellow card.
