After 18 minutes, Dinçer Temur mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gürsu FK and the Mavi Şimşek players grew even worse after the yellow card. Dinçer Temur hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hüsrev Rafet in the 22nd minute of play forced Mavi Şimşek's goalkeeper Şansal Hürsev to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dinçer Temur kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. In the 26th minute Mesut Kamaci shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mehmet Fatih Hanbeyi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Mavi Şimşek getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Nusret Adıgün hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Oğuz Yelesen in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Şansal Hürsev saved Mavi Şimşek from getting behind. Hüsrev Rafet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Şansal Hürsev having to interfere. Hüsrev Rafet might have been able to make a better finish in the 36th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Şansal Hürsev. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hüsrev Rafet ran back to his position shaking his head. Oğuz Yelesen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Şansal Hürsev having to interfere. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hüsrev Rafet stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Oğuz Yelesen's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Şansal Hürsev firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 61st minute, one of Mavi Şimşek:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Mavi Şimşek. Mavi Şimşek:s Şansal Hürsev showed great skill when he stopped Mehmet Arif Karin:s penalty. Mavi Şimşek's Şansal Hürsev proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save Mavi Şimşek from getting a goal against them. Oğuz Yelesen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Şansal Hürsev made a huge save. If Yusuf Bahadır Saik had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Oğuz Yelesen got free with Şansal Hürsev in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 74 minutes of play Gürsu FK's Dinçer Temur was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 75th minute, Dinçer Temur hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 79 minutes into the match, Oğuz Yelesen had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Şansal Hürsev. Mavi Şimşek's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Oğuz Yelesen was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Oğuz Yelesen charged in rather forcefully in the 83rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Oğuz Yelesen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 83 played minutes Gürsu FK got a freekick which was hit by Oğuz Yelesen. Mehmet Fatih Hanbeyi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mesut Kamaci's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. 87 minutes into the game, Mesut Kamaci cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Mehmet Fatih Hanbeyi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 93rd play minute Hulusi Sertaçgil came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Şansal Hürsev. 1-2. Gürsu FK's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
