In the 9th minute Zeynel Sümer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mehmet Fatih Hanbeyi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Oğuz Yelesens short, quick shot in the 10thth minute got Bedrettin Camcıoğlu to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 12 minutes into the match, Gürsu FK's Hüsrev Rafet sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bedrettin Camcıoğlu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some careless play in the Gürsu FK defense, Bircan Vefai kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mehmet Fatih Hanbeyi. The Gürsu FK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mehmet Fatih Hanbeyi should have stopped the shot. Zeynel Sümer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mehmet Fatih Hanbeyi having to interfere. When Oğuz Yelesen came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Gürsu FK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Oğuz Yelesen couldn't finish the play. Bircan Vefai received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Mehmet Fatih Hanbeyi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 26 minutes, Bircan Vefai managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Olur's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bircan Vefai was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Oğuz Yelesen was extremely unlucky when he, in the 34th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Şener Yücelen kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Bedrettin Camcıoğlu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Oğuz Yelesen in the 37th minute. Bircan Vefai sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bircan Vefai made a kick off. After a rather tough play, Gürsu FK's Dinçer Temur got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Bircan Vefai struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Mehmet Fatih Hanbeyi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Olur. In the 56th minute, Dinçer Temur hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Bircan Vefai's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mehmet Fatih Hanbeyi was relentless in the 59th minute of the game.
