After 4 played minutes Çağrı Vural shot from long distance. At first the shot seemed to be simple for Avcılar's Hakkı Özyurek to catch but Çağrı Vural was lucky. It became 0-1 after the goalkeeper had been careless and dropped the ball into goal. Şeref Hasret recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 9 minutes, Arif Burak Hakan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Osmangazi and the Avcılar players grew even worse after the yellow card. When Saltuk Ceylan came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Avcılar fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Saltuk Ceylan couldn't finish the play. If İlhami Eyüp had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling İlhami Eyüp in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hakkı Özyurek prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Saltuk Ceylan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hakkı Özyurek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from İlhami Eyüp in the 30th minute of play. Şeref Hasret scored 1-1 in the 37th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Necdet İkinci, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Saltuk Ceylan in the 41st minute of play forced Osmangazi's goalkeeper Necdet İkinci to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Saltuk Ceylan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Necdet İkinci having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by İlhami Eyüp in the 47th minute of play forced Avcılar's goalkeeper Hakkı Özyurek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Saltuk Ceylan to strike the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Osmangazi's zone, Saltuk Ceylan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Necdet İkinci came out of the goal and Saltuk Ceylan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 59 played minutes Avcılar got a freekick which was hit by Gencalp Yerhum. In the 61st minute Şeref Hasret shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Necdet İkinci saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 67 minutes, Şeref Hasret made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. Osmangazi's Necdet İkinci tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Gencalp Yerhum's late challenge caught a Osmangazi's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gencalp Yerhum helped the player get up and apologised. 78 minutes into the game, Zafer Ulubaş cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Necdet İkinci was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Şeref Hasret had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. There was no doubt that Avcılar were the better team. Avcılar's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
