Carapas's Ahmet Korkut Dürüst played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ekber Eryildiz in the 79th minute of play. In the 83rd minute, Selahaddin İlsak got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ergün Özbilgin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Agah Sarpkan might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bayhan Çokay. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Agah Sarpkan ran back to his position shaking his head. The throw-in from İsmail Cem Akaltan in the 89th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Carapas's Tevfik Tansoy.
