Soma 301's Çağrı Serafet played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arkın Mennan in the 11th minute of play. Mahmut Saatçi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gürcan Bozdoğan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Soma 301's zone, Fevzi Özbay stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Çağrı Serafet came out of the goal and Fevzi Özbay tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Ahmet Gündüz Kutsal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Oran JK's Fevzi Özbay got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rafettin Osmanoğlu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Çağrı Serafet having to interfere. Ahmet Gündüz Kutsal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fevzi Özbay struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Çağrı Serafet didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Oran JK. Soma 301's supporters rose to their feet, but Mahmut Saatçi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gürcan Bozdoğan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

The wind increased when Mahmut Saatçi made the kick off in the second half. Ahmet Gündüz Kutsal's shot straight on target was not completely harmless.
