Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Samet Işıldar started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Afşar Aynacıoğlu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Coşkun Tunak in the 3rd minute of play. Galatasaray's Behzat Çetiner got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 5 minutes, Behzat Çetiner managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Galatasaray's supporters crossed their fingers, but Behzat Çetiner was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Behzat Çetiner in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Afşar Aynacıoğlu saved Silopi from getting behind. Afşar Aynacıoğlu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Behzat Çetiner in the 12th minute of play. When Görkem Öksal fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Galatasaray's protests and gave Görkem Öksal a yellow card for diving instead. Afşar Aynacıoğlu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Behzat Çetiner in the 25th minute of play. Behzat Çetiner might have been able to make a better finish in the 27th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Afşar Aynacıoğlu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Behzat Çetiner ran back to his position shaking his head. Bilgehan Çalkın kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Coşkun Tunak in the 32nd minute of play forced Silopi's goalkeeper Afşar Aynacıoğlu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 33rdth minute of the game Coşkun Tunak who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Silopi's Afşar Aynacıoğlu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Coşkun Tunak came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Galatasaray fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Coşkun Tunak couldn't finish the play. In the 39th minute, Coşkun Tunak got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 43 minutes into the match, Silopi's goal looked a bit too open when Behzat Çetiner came free, but Afşar Aynacıoğlu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
The wind increased when Coşkun Tunak made the kick off in the second half. In the 61st minute, Coşkun Tunak got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 62 minutes into the match, Silopi's goalkeeper Afşar Aynacıoğlu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Behzat Çetiner. An unexpected shot in the 64th minute by Behzat Çetiner got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Coşkun Tunak in the 66th minute of play forced Silopi's goalkeeper Afşar Aynacıoğlu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Behzat Çetiner who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 67thth minute tested the skills of Afşar Aynacıoğlu when he managed to save the team from getting behind. With a little luck, Silopi's Afşar Aynacıoğlu got control of the ball when Behzat Çetiner tried to sneak it across the goal line. Afşar Aynacıoğlu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Coşkun Tunak in the 72nd minute of play. İlker Taylak showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yıldıray Sufi in the 73rd minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Behzat Çetiner got free with Afşar Aynacıoğlu in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Coşkun Tunak in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Afşar Aynacıoğlu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Behzat Çetiner might have been able to make a better finish in the 81st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Afşar Aynacıoğlu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Behzat Çetiner ran back to his position shaking his head. Afşar Aynacıoğlu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Coşkun Tunak in the 84th minute of play. Afşar Aynacıoğlu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Behzat Çetiner in the 89th minute. Behzat Çetiner received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Afşar Aynacıoğlu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 93 minutes into the match, Silopi's goalkeeper Afşar Aynacıoğlu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Behzat Çetiner. Afşar Aynacıoğlu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Coşkun Tunak, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match was over Galatasaray could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Silopi throughout the match.
