Rüştü Neşit showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yıldırım Paksoy, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Rüştü Neşit took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yıldırım Paksoy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Şerif Ergümen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Rüştü Neşit tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 21 minutes into the game, Cabbar Doğanhan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Galatasaray's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Samsun JK the free kick. After 21 played minutes Galatasaray got a freekick which was hit by Cabbar Doğanhan. After 72 minutes of play, Samsun JK's Şerif Ergümen made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rüştü Neşit was left in no man's land by his defense there! Yakut Hazret struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Müfit Tanyeri didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Galatasaray. 80 minutes into the game, Bahattin Tengiroğlu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. After a defensive mix-up in Samsun JK's zone, Yakut Hazret stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Müfit Tanyeri came out of the goal and Yakut Hazret tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A long shot from Dorukhan Acıbadem in the 94th minute of play was well struck, but Rüştü Neşit made a really good save at the right post. Samsun JK's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
