Remzi Özver showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vefa Toydemir in the 6th minute of the match. 14 minutes into the match, FV ENGERS's goal looked a bit too open when Emirşah Işıklar came free, but Nejat Alp Adalıoğlu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 18 played minutes MERSİN İY got a freekick which was hit by Ekrem Türkoğlu. A collision led to MERSİN İY getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Fahri Sabahaddin hit a great ball. In the 25th minute Emirşah Işıklar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nejat Alp Adalıoğlu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nejat Alp Adalıoğlu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emirşah Işıklar, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Fahri Sabahaddin was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 30 minutes into the match. MERSİN İY's Remzi Özver played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Şaban Evvel in the 31st minute of play. Remzi Özver took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Göksel Orus, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rıza Rıdvan scored 0-1 in the 35th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nejat Alp Adalıoğlu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Nejat Alp Adalıoğlu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ekrem Türkoğlu in the 40th minute of the match. Nejat Alp Adalıoğlu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nejat Alp Adalıoğlu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ekrem Türkoğlu, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. Ekrem Türkoğlu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nejat Alp Adalıoğlu having to interfere. After the first half MERSİN İY were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rıza Rıdvan was the one to do the kick off. If Emirşah Işıklar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Emirşah Işıklar kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Nejat Alp Adalıoğlu. That made the score 0-2 in the 54 minute of play. MERSİN İY's Ekrem Türkoğlu got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ekrem Türkoğlu struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Nejat Alp Adalıoğlu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for MERSİN İY. Ekrem Türkoğlu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpected shot in the 64th minute by Emirşah Işıklar got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Sercan Parskan hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Emirşah Işıklar managed to get in a good position for a shot. MERSİN İY's supporters rose to their feet, but Emirşah Işıklar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nejat Alp Adalıoğlu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rıza Rıdvan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 71st minute the ball was on its way in behind FV ENGERS's goalkeeper Nejat Alp Adalıoğlu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Rıza Rıdvan came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the MERSİN İY fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rıza Rıdvan couldn't finish the play. Emirşah Işıklar's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nejat Alp Adalıoğlu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. If Rıza Rıdvan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ekrem Türkoğlu got free with Nejat Alp Adalıoğlu in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Emirşah Işıklar struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Nejat Alp Adalıoğlu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for MERSİN İY. After some careless play in the FV ENGERS defense, Ekrem Türkoğlu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nejat Alp Adalıoğlu. The FV ENGERS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nejat Alp Adalıoğlu should have stopped the shot. When the final whistle sounded MERSİN İY left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than FV ENGERS.
