Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Genco Taluy started the match with the kick off. Seçkin Çelikyay hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. In the 6th minute Fikret Akbal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hakan Ünver saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Fikret Akbal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 14th minute, Hakkı Haymanalı ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hakan Ünver was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Hakkı Haymanalı fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hakan Ünver having to interfere. Abdulmelik Özyurt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Sporting Lizbon booed when Ulus FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Seçkin Çelikyay didn't get a good kick on the ball. Baturhan Gerdaneri stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aras Görkem Özkaya's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. Hakkı Haymanalı succeeded in the game's 31st minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-0. With a little luck, Sporting Lizbon's Hakan Ünver got control of the ball when Hakkı Haymanalı tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 39th minute, Fikret Akbal ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hakan Ünver was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Fikret Akbal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hakan Ünver having to interfere. If Fikret Akbal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 50th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The wind increased when Fikret Akbal made the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Sporting Lizbon's zone, Fikret Akbal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hakan Ünver came out of the goal and Fikret Akbal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Ulus FK's Hakkı Haymanalı in the 55th minute got a chance for a shot 55th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sporting Lizbon's goalie prevented a goal. Hakan Ünver made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fikret Akbal in the 56th minute of play. Hakkı Haymanalı took the ball and in the 58 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hakan Ünver. Hakan Ünver dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fikret Akbal in the 64th minute of play forced Sporting Lizbon's goalkeeper Hakan Ünver to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 67th minute Fikret Akbal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hakan Ünver saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fikret Akbal in the 68th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hakan Ünver prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Hakan Ünver showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hakkı Haymanalı, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. After 75 minutes of play, Ulus FK's Fikret Akbal made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hakan Ünver was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to Ulus FK getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Baran Bilge Nasuh hit a great ball. Hakkı Haymanalı fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hakan Ünver having to interfere. Hakan Ünver made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fikret Akbal in the 98th minute of play. Hakkı Haymanalı fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 100th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hakan Ünver having to interfere. Ulus FK walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
