The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Ulus FK getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Tamer Hacıağa hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Ulus FK's zone, Tahir Tuğsan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Baturhan Gerdaneri came out of the goal and Tahir Tuğsan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ulus FK's Baturhan Gerdaneri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tahir Tuğsan in the 5th minute of play. The supporters of Yazihan JK booed when Ulus FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Baran Bilge Nasuh didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tuğrul Sırat charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tuğrul Sırat the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 8th minute, one of Ulus FK:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Ulus FK. The supporters of Ulus FK booed when Yazihan JK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tahir Tuğsan didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Ulu Hatırlı came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Yazihan JK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ulu Hatırlı couldn't finish the play. Rüstem Tolay took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fikret Akbal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fikret Akbal in the 25th minute of play forced Yazihan JK's goalkeeper Rüstem Tolay to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ulus FK's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Hacı Ali Atik 31 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-0. 36 minutes into the match, Hacı Ali Atik notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Ulus FK's Baturhan Gerdaneri. Baturhan Gerdaneri was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hasan Can Rebi in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Baturhan Gerdaneri saved Ulus FK from getting behind. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Ulus FK's Hakkı Haymanalı got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ertuğrul Köken hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Baturhan Gerdaneri showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hacı Ali Atik in the 64th minute of the match. In the 65th minute of the match Yazihan JK got a corner. Ulus FK's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Tahir Tuğsan ran over to the corner to take the kick. At last the ball reached Hacı Ali Atik at the corner, ending with a kick to difficult to stop for the goalkeeper of Ulus FK. 4-0. In the 72nd minute Hasan Can Rebi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Baturhan Gerdaneri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 74 played minutes Ulus FK got a freekick which was hit by Yağızhan Ağca. In the 75th minute, Hasan Can Rebi made a precise shot to the right of Baturhan Gerdaneri. Ulus FK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. Yazihan JK's Ulu Hatırlı pulled a muscle in his leg after 79 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Seçkin Çelikyay helped the player get up and apologised. In the 80th minute, Seçkin Çelikyay hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 81 minutes of play Ulus FK's Seçkin Çelikyay was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After a rather tough play, Ulus FK's Seçkin Çelikyay got a free kick in the 82nd minute. A collision led to Yazihan JK getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Özmen Derviş hit a great ball. The audience thought it was a sure goal in the 86th minute, when Ulus FK's Tamer Hacıağa after having done a great run through the defense got himself free with Rüstem Tolay in Yazihan JK's goal and fired away a shot, but it missed the goal by a fraction of an inch. After 87 played minutes Yazihan JK got a freekick which was hit by Haşmet Yaver. Ulus FK's Hakkı Haymanalı got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Yazihan JK's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
