Battalgazi's supporters rose to their feet, but Kutalp Yorgun was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rüstem Tolay breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Aşık Menderes hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. If Hasan Can Rebi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Yazihan JK's Hasan Can Rebi got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Servet Durkaya took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hacı Ali Atik, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 33rd minute of the match Battalgazi got a corner. Yazihan JK's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Recai Tibet ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Recai Tibet got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Rüstem Tolay quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Servet Durkaya made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Hasan Can Rebi sent off a good shot on target. Aşık Menderes's late challenge caught a Yazihan JK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aşık Menderes helped the player get up and apologised. After 40 played minutes Battalgazi got a freekick which was hit by Aşık Menderes. If Hacı Ali Atik had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 49 minutes into the match, Yazihan JK's Hacı Ali Atik sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Servet Durkaya narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

For all the effort they put into the match, the Battalgazi players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Yazihan JK.
