Şeref Aydınalp showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aykan Mertkal, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. With his leg Şeref Aydınalp managed to avoid a goal in the 69thth minute, when Sariveliler's Aykan Mertkal fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abdullah Koryürek in the 70th minute of play forced Sariveliler's goalkeeper Halil Utku Müşfik to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Hayri Hızlan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Halil Utku Müşfik stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hayri Hızlan's shot from short distance in the 78th minute. In the 82nd minute Bora Gencer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Şeref Aydınalp saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Abdullah Koryürek in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Halil Utku Müşfik prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Akcaabat's zone, Aykan Mertkal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Şeref Aydınalp came out of the goal and Aykan Mertkal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Akcaabat's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Bora Gencer 92 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-1. Rafettin Cansal kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match. In the 99th minute the ball was on its way in behind Akcaabat's goalkeeper Şeref Aydınalp, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
