The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Hüsnü Sungurtekin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Selim Yanar in the 3rd minute of play. Aybars Otay received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Hüsnü Sungurtekin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Selim Yanar in the 7th minute of play forced Umut Sk's goalkeeper Hüsnü Sungurtekin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Umut Sk getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Şahin Yağızhan hit a great ball. Umut Sk's Hüsnü Sungurtekin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ali Emir Aktemur in the 9th minute of play. If Hıncal Özgunay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hüsnü Sungurtekin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Selim Yanar's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. Ali Emir Aktemur hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Emin Sonalp made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Hıncal Özgunay sent off a good shot on target. In the 24th match minute, Malazgirt SK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Derviş Habiboğlu to maneuver through the defense. 26 minutes into the game, Aybars Otay was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Malazgirt SK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Umut Sk the free kick. Emin Sonalp made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Hıncal Özgunay sent off a good shot on target. After 38 played minutes, Malazgirt SK's Ali Emir Aktemur shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Hüsnü Sungurtekin came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Malazgirt SK reached it. Emin Sonalp showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Genco Sungurbay, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Akşemseddin Seza hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match.

Emin Sonalp took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Genco Sungurbay, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Genco Sungurbay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Akşemseddin Seza charged in rather forcefully in the 59th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Akşemseddin Seza the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Umut Sk getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Akşemseddin Seza hit a great ball. When Aybars Otay came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Malazgirt SK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aybars Otay couldn't finish the play. Genco Sungurbay sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Selim Yanar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hüsnü Sungurtekin having to interfere. Aybars Otay recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Malazgirt SK booed when Umut Sk was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hasan Hüseyin Canberk didn't get a good kick on the ball. The long shot by Ali Emir Aktemur in the 72nd minute really tested Hüsnü Sungurtekin's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Arif Tugay Hasret charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. In the 85th minute, Aybars Otay got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A hard shot 88 in the game by Aybars Otay from a close distance when the talented Hüsnü Sungurtekin managed to make a qualified save. Umut Sk's players were relieved. Malazgirt SK's Emin Sonalp played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Genco Sungurbay in the 94th minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Malazgirt SK players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Umut Sk.
