In the 6th minute of the match İdris Tur sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alpay Fazilet skillfully saved the ball. A collision led to Mersin getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Yusuf Şener hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Mersin's zone, Lütfi Adalı stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alpay Fazilet came out of the goal and Lütfi Adalı tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lütfi Adalı received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Alpay Fazilet tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cevdet Özge received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Mehmet Fatih Hafızoğlu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Altinözü's Mehmet Fatih Hafızoğlu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cevdet Özge in the 18th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Tolga Utkan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Altinözü's supporters rose to their feet, but Tolga Utkan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alpay Fazilet breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alpay Fazilet showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lütfi Adalı in the 22nd minute of the match. Lütfi Adalı fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alpay Fazilet having to interfere. Alpay Fazilet showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lütfi Adalı, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tolga Utkan to make the kick off. Alpay Fazilet showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tolga Utkan, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. In the 54th minute, Tolga Utkan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tolga Utkan in the 81st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alpay Fazilet saved Mersin from getting behind. When Şensoy Tarhun came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Mersin fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Şensoy Tarhun couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Altinözü's zone, Cevdet Özge stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. If Lütfi Adalı had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tolga Utkan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Mersin's Alpay Fazilet got control of the ball when Lütfi Adalı tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the referee blew the final whistle, Mersin could leave the field as winners, despite Altinözü having more of the ball for most of the match.
