Sait Akasma made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cevdet Özge in the 5th minute of play. 6 minutes into the match, Mersin's goal looked a bit too open when Cevahir Belek came free, but Alpay Fazilet reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lütfullah Taciroğlu lost his temper 9 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 8th minute, one of BilecikSporKlubü:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for BilecikSporKlubü. 13 minutes into the match, Mersin's goalkeeper Alpay Fazilet had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ahmet Vefik Zekai. BilecikSporKlubü's Ahmet Vefik Zekai got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Yusuf Bahadır Akoğlu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 26 minutes, Ahmet Vefik Zekai managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. BilecikSporKlubü's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ahmet Vefik Zekai was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ahmet Vefik Zekai sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a rather tough play, Mersin's Sarp İncesu got a free kick in the 30th minute. Alpay Fazilet made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Yusuf Bahadır Akoğlu sent off a good shot on target. Yusuf Bahadır Akoğlu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Alpay Fazilet made a huge save. In the 35th minute Cevdet Özge shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sait Akasma saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 38th minute, Mersin's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Ahmet Vefik Zekai fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Yavuz Selim Kurumer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Alpay Fazilet tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ahmet Vefik Zekai succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-1 in the 47th playminute.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ahmet Vefik Zekai stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 52 played minutes BilecikSporKlubü got a freekick which was hit by Yusuf Bahadır Akoğlu. In the 54th minute Sarp İncesu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sait Akasma saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mersin's Alpay Fazilet played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ahmet Vefik Zekai in the 61st minute of play. Yusuf Bahadır Akoğlu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Alpay Fazilet tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Yavuz Selim Kurumer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Yusuf Bahadır Akoğlu scored 2-1 in the 67th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alpay Fazilet, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ahmet Vefik Zekai blasted a shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alpay Fazilet having to make a save. Mersin's Alpay Fazilet played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ahmet Vefik Zekai in the 72nd minute of play. Sait Akasma was out of position in the 75 minute of play, and Sarp İncesu capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Sarp İncesu really showed his touch with that goal: 2-2. Yavuz Selim Kurumer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Yavuz Selim Kurumer might have been able to make a better finish in the 81st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alpay Fazilet. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Yavuz Selim Kurumer ran back to his position shaking his head. Yusuf Bahadır Akoğlu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 85th minute, Yavuz Selim Kurumer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 86 minutes into the match, BilecikSporKlubü's goalkeeper Sait Akasma had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Yusuf Şener. Yusuf Bahadır Akoğlu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Ahmet Vefik Zekai had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. BilecikSporKlubü were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
