Merih Orgun charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Merih Orgun the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Merih Orgun hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Oktay Denizhan hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Müfit Mutlugün received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Demiralp Tanaltay during the 47th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Adem Esendağ showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Orçun Secavend, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Orçun Secavend made a kick off. Gencalp Dağhan might have been able to make a better finish in the 54th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Adem Esendağ. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gencalp Dağhan ran back to his position shaking his head. After 56 played minutes TRABZONGULDAK got a freekick which was hit by Kutluay Süphan. In the 58th minute Müfit Mutlugün shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Güney Vecdet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Güney Vecdet took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Müfit Mutlugün, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 63rd minute, Orçun Secavend made a precise shot to the right of Adem Esendağ. Gülyali's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Latif Kamaci fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Güney Vecdet having to interfere. After 77 played minutes Gülyali got a freekick which was hit by Ertunç Cihanmert. In the 78th minute, Bayındır Mehmet Erserim sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Gülyali's Adem Esendağ didn't even have to move. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gencalp Dağhan in the 86th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Adem Esendağ saved Gülyali from getting behind. Adem Esendağ stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Orçun Secavend's shot from short distance in the 87th minute. Mürsel Ufki was shown his second yellow card after 91 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 92nd minute, Mürsel Ufki hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Oktay Denizhan was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 95 minutes had been played. After recieving a nice pass, Gülyali's Ahmet Kutsi Kurceren tried to score from far away in the 96th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The TRABZONGULDAK fans cheered their team off the field, for while Gülyali had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
