Yeşilyurt2023 were furious when Tarkan Öktüre was red carded, 9 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 11th minute there was a penalty for Karahan. Erdinç Şahinalp stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Nazil Tuncaral. 1-1. The supporters of Karahan booed when Yeşilyurt2023 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vecdi İmge didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 15th minute, Güray Veli hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Şerafettin Acaröz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Yeşilyurt2023's supporters rose to their feet, but Şerafettin Acaröz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Şükrü Kutbay breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nazil Tuncaral showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sabri İltemiz, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. In the 29th minute, İhsan Sehhar made a precise shot to the right of Nazil Tuncaral. Yeşilyurt2023's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cemil Ünlüer got free with Şükrü Kutbay in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Şerafettin Acaröz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Şükrü Kutbay was a little too slow when Şerafettin Acaröz got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 36th minute. The score was now 2-2. When Güray Veli came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Yeşilyurt2023 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Güray Veli couldn't finish the play. Cemil Ünlüer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Şükrü Kutbay tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and İhsan Sehhar made a kick off. In the 51st minute, Şerafettin Acaröz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 53rd minute, Cemil Ünlüer ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Şükrü Kutbay was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. Şerafettin Acaröz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Şükrü Kutbay showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bahri Canatan in the 59th minute of the match. If Şerafettin Acaröz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Güray Veli received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Şükrü Kutbay tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Karahan's Mansur Erkinay got a free kick in the 66th minute. Şerafettin Acaröz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Şükrü Kutbay read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 67th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Güray Veli managed to get in a good position for a shot. In the 77th match minute, Karahan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Refik Halit Serkan to maneuver through the defense. 83 minutes into the match, Yeşilyurt2023's Cemil Ünlüer sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Şükrü Kutbay narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After having played for 84 minutes, Güray Veli managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Yeşilyurt2023's supporters crossed their fingers, but Güray Veli was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Şerafettin Acaröz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 86th minute, Cemil Ünlüer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 87th minute, Güray Veli ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Şükrü Kutbay was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-2. Karahan's Şükrü Kutbay played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hasan Ali Usun in the 91st minute of play. Şerafettin Acaröz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cemil Ünlüer struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Şükrü Kutbay didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Yeşilyurt2023. In the 95th minute, Güray Veli made a precise shot to the right of Şükrü Kutbay. Karahan's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-2.
