Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Yavuz Şanberk started the match with the kick off. If Berkin Azimoğlu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 12th minute, Yavuz Şanberk left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The GÖKTÜRK FK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Berkin Azimoğlu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. İslam Togay tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 23rd minute, Göztepe Sk's Ahmet Necdet Boran dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. After 33 played minutes Göztepe Sk got a freekick which was hit by Ali Cafer Parsbay. Göztepe Sk's Volkan Eryiğit played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yavuz Şanberk in the 35th minute of play. The supporters of GÖKTÜRK FK booed when Göztepe Sk was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Berkin Azimoğlu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Volkan Eryiğit showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yavuz Şanberk, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Ahmet Necdet Boran's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but İslam Togay read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. 47 minutes into the match, GÖKTÜRK FK's goal looked a bit too open when Ahmet Necdet Boran came free, but İslam Togay reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ahmet Necdet Boran made a kick off. Volkan Eryiğit made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yavuz Şanberk in the 55th minute of play. Ahmet Davut Fişek who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 56thth minute tested the skills of Volkan Eryiğit when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 59 minutes of play, Göztepe Sk's Ahmet Necdet Boran made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. İslam Togay was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 66 played minutes GÖKTÜRK FK got a freekick which was hit by Pekin Sezer. Ahmet Davut Fişek sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Mehmet Emin Er fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Göztepe Sk's protests and gave Mehmet Emin Er a yellow card for diving instead. Mehmet Emin Er kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. With a little luck, Göztepe Sk's Volkan Eryiğit got control of the ball when Ahmet Davut Fişek tried to sneak it across the goal line. Göztepe Sk's Ahmet Necdet Boran got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 78 minutes, Ahmet Necdet Boran managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Göztepe Sk's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ahmet Necdet Boran was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 79th minute, Yavuz Şanberk got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ahmet Necdet Boran in the 84th minute of play forced GÖKTÜRK FK's goalkeeper İslam Togay to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Volkan Eryiğit took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yavuz Şanberk, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bilgehan Kutun charged in rather forcefully in the 96th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bilgehan Kutun the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to GÖKTÜRK FK getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Bilgehan Kutun hit a great ball.
