Süruri Bayman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Süruri Bayman struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Volkan Eryiğit didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Düzici JK. When Abdurrahman Oskay came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Düzici JK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abdurrahman Oskay couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Göztepe Sk's Berkin Azimoğlu got a free kick in the 19th minute. The supporters of Düzici JK booed when Göztepe Sk was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hilmi Özsan didn't get a good kick on the ball. 22 minutes into the game, Düzici JK's Abdurrahman Oskay nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Volkan Eryiğit made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 25 minutes into the game, Güralp Baytüzün was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Düzici JK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Göztepe Sk the free kick. Süruri Bayman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Volkan Eryiğit stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Abdurrahman Oskay's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. Volkan Eryiğit didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Süruri Bayman went, in the 43rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. When Süruri Bayman came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Düzici JK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Süruri Bayman couldn't finish the play. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ahmet Necdet Boran to make the kick off. Volkan Eryiğit made an important save on a dangerous shot by Abdurrahman Oskay in the 51st minute. In the 55th minute Abdurrahman Oskay shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Volkan Eryiğit saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Göztepe Sk's Hilmi Özsan got a free kick in the 56th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Göztepe Sk's zone, Abdurrahman Oskay stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Volkan Eryiğit came out of the goal and Abdurrahman Oskay tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 60 minutes into the match, Düzici JK's goal looked a bit too open when Ali Cafer Parsbay came free, but Kasım Tecik reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Baran Nesil hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. If Yüce Ozansoy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the match had gone on for 72 minutes, Süruri Bayman took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Volkan Eryiğit to make any attempt to save it. A collision led to Düzici JK getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Abdurrahman Oskay hit a great ball. 81 minutes into the match, Düzici JK's goal looked a bit too open when Ali Cafer Parsbay came free, but Kasım Tecik reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 83 played minutes, Düzici JK's Yıldırım Tublek shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Volkan Eryiğit came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Düzici JK reached it. 85 minutes into the match, Göztepe Sk's goalkeeper Volkan Eryiğit had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Süruri Bayman. 91 minutes into the game, Abdurrahman Oskay recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Volkan Eryiğit. Abdurrahman Oskay showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-4. When the match was over Düzici JK could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Göztepe Sk throughout the match.
