The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Tamer Tokel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hüsmen Akyüz in the 2nd minute of play. Semi Özbas charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Semi Özbas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 5th minute of the game. One of 1930 Bafraspor:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Yildizeli FK:s goal. The goalkeeper, Tamer Tokel, was totally fooled by Yildizeli FK's Ahmet İlhan Çolak, who 7 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. The supporters of 1930 Bafraspor booed when Yildizeli FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hüsmen Akyüz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Yetkiner Sadi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Şadi Niyazi in the 21st minute of play. Çetin Çelenk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 27 played minutes Yildizeli FK got a freekick which was hit by Cankut Hayırlı. Çetin Çelenk received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Yetkiner Sadi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hüsmen Akyüz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match had gone on for 39 minutes, Şadi Niyazi put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Yetkiner Sadi. In the 44th match minute, 1930 Bafraspor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tolgahan Müslim to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in 1930 Bafraspor's zone, Hüsmen Akyüz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tamer Tokel came out of the goal and Hüsmen Akyüz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

In the 51st minute, Cezmi Başat got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Hüsmen Akyüz struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Tamer Tokel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Yildizeli FK. Hüsmen Akyüz took the ball and in the 55 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tamer Tokel. Tamer Tokel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cankut Hayırlı during the 57th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 58 played minutes Yildizeli FK got a freekick which was hit by Cankut Hayırlı. Şadi Niyazi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Yetkiner Sadi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Şadi Niyazi, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. In the 67th minute the ball was on its way in behind 1930 Bafraspor's goalkeeper Tamer Tokel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Tamer Tokel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hüsmen Akyüz's shot from short distance in the 69th minute. Çetin Çelenk recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Yildizeli FK's Yetkiner Sadi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Şadi Niyazi in the 82nd minute of play. In the 84th minute, Tolgahan Müslim hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hüsmen Akyüz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Çetin Çelenk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Çetin Çelenk might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Yetkiner Sadi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Çetin Çelenk ran back to his position shaking his head. Yetkiner Sadi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Şadi Niyazi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tamer Tokel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cezmi Başat in the 94th minute of the match. 1930 Bafraspor's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
