The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Akil Beren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ramiz Çırağ in the 6th minute of the match. Tolgahan Çetinalp received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Akil Beren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 14 minutes into the match, Tolgahan Çetinalp had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Akil Beren. Antalyaspor's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tolgahan Çetinalp was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. EDİRNESPOR's Ahmet Hakan Sidar proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save EDİRNESPOR from getting a goal against them. EDİRNESPOR's attentive Ramiz Çırağ managed to snatch the ball when Artun İzzettin made a throw-in in the 23rd minute of the game. Aytaç User struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Akil Beren didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for EDİRNESPOR. Ramiz Çırağ received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Akil Beren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 32nd minute, Aytaç User got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hami Alansoy stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The throw-in from Soner Azim in the 52nd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by EDİRNESPOR's Aykut Mithat. EDİRNESPOR's Aytaç User got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 56 played minutes Antalyaspor got a freekick which was hit by Artun İzzettin. 59 minutes into the game, Ahmet Ömür Peyami cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Akil Beren was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Akil Beren made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Aytaç User sent off a good shot on target. Antalyaspor's Akil Beren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aytaç User in the 63rd minute of play. If Aytaç User had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 69th minute, EDİRNESPOR's Tolgahan Çetinalp ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Akil Beren. Akil Beren yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-4. Akil Beren stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aytaç User's shot from short distance in the 73rd minute. Akil Beren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tolgahan Çetinalp, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Mustafa Anıl Tayman was extremely unlucky when he, in the 77th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. EDİRNESPOR made a substitution. İldeniz Taci replaced Dilaver Semi. After a defensive mix-up in Antalyaspor's zone, Tolgahan Çetinalp stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Akil Beren came out of the goal and Tolgahan Çetinalp tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Ali Cengiz Özmert had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tolgahan Çetinalp recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 91 minutes, Aytaç User managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. EDİRNESPOR's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aytaç User was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Tolgahan Çetinalp came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the EDİRNESPOR fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tolgahan Çetinalp couldn't finish the play. In the 94th minute, Aytaç User got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ramiz Çırağ received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Akil Beren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match was over EDİRNESPOR could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Antalyaspor throughout the match.
