Güvenç Yildıran was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Abdulhamit Ciray sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Abdulhamit Ciray got free with Güvenç Yildıran in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 16 minutes into the match, SELEFKOS's goal looked a bit too open when Suphi Kaptan came free, but Güvenç Yildıran reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Enis Behiç Samih had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gokturkspor's Tayyip Demirtekin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Enis Behiç Samih in the 23rd minute of play. Ahmet Fikret Sefer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Güvenç Yildıran tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Güvenç Yildıran made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Abdulhamit Ciray sent off a good shot on target. After 31 played minutes Gokturkspor got a freekick which was hit by Tayfur Başel. In the 36th minute, Mutlu Erseç fired a really elegant long shot, but Güvenç Yildıran threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post. After 36 played minutes SELEFKOS got a freekick which was hit by Uğuralp Atasagun. SELEFKOS's Güvenç Yildıran proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save SELEFKOS from getting a goal against them. In the 46th minute, Enis Behiç Samih got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ali Güralp Attaroğlu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 50 played minutes Gokturkspor got a freekick which was hit by Mustafa Ali Göktürk. Enis Behiç Samih recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Enis Behiç Samih had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ahmet Fikret Sefer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Güvenç Yildıran having to interfere. Güvenç Yildıran showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Suphi Kaptan in the 72nd minute of the match. Abdulhamit Ciray took the ball and in the 74 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Güvenç Yildıran. Güvenç Yildıran dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Güvenç Yildıran showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abdulhamit Ciray in the 77th minute of the match. In the 81st minute, Abdulhamit Ciray got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Güvenç Yildıran showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Suphi Kaptan, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Abdulhamit Ciray managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gokturkspor's supporters rose to their feet, but Abdulhamit Ciray was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Güvenç Yildıran breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Suphi Kaptan in the 86th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Güvenç Yildıran saved SELEFKOS from getting behind. Abdulhamit Ciray sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. SELEFKOS's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
