Kutay Ayazoğlu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Çağan Özker showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from İlbey Arslanoğlu, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Baskın Taif was a little too slow when Levent Tamkoç got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 25th minute. The score was now 1-1. Mansur Resai might have been able to make a better finish in the 28th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Çağan Özker. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. MELMİN FC's Baskın Taif played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Levent Tamkoç in the 30th minute of play. Mansur Resai's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Çağan Özker read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. Baskın Taif showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Levent Tamkoç in the 38th minute of the match. 47 minutes into the game, Abdulbaki Başdaş was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player.
