The audience thought a goal was coming when Tansel Latif got free with Ahmet Nasir Yaygır in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 34th minute, Tansel Latif got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 37th minute, Fenerbahçe BABAS's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Tansel Latif fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After having played for 39 minutes, Alpertunga Reca managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. KöprüBaşı's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alpertunga Reca was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After the first half Fenerbahçe BABAS were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alpertunga Reca to make the kick off. Baran Bilge Demirezen might have been able to make a better finish in the 53rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Neşat Şamil. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Baran Bilge Demirezen ran back to his position shaking his head. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tansel Latif's late challenge caught a Fenerbahçe BABAS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tansel Latif helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Fenerbahçe BABAS booed when KöprüBaşı was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tansel Latif didn't get a good kick on the ball.
