Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Tunç Ateşoğlu started the match with the kick off. Can Kasım took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tunç Ateşoğlu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Can Kasım made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Volkan Sabi in the 15th minute of play. 17 minutes into the match, Tunç Ateşoğlu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Can Kasım. Amasyaspor's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tunç Ateşoğlu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 25th minute Bican Necaettin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aytuğ Koçubey saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aytuğ Koçubey was out of position in the 26 minute of play, and Kemal Yanaç capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Kemal Yanaç really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. Amasyaspor's Can Kasım played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tunç Ateşoğlu in the 32nd minute of play. Kemal Yanaç could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Aytuğ Koçubey made a huge save. Tunç Ateşoğlu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Can Kasım tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Karahan Onar might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Can Kasım. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Karahan Onar ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, Amasyaspor's Ekrem Hatırlı got a free kick in the 41st minute. When the match had gone on for 44 minutes, Tunç Ateşoğlu put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Can Kasım.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Orbay Niyazi was the one to do the kick off. Aytuğ Koçubey came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by Amasyaspor's Kemal Yanaç. But to his dismay, Kemal Yanaç quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Aytuğ Koçubey took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bican Necaettin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Şeray Hürkan fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Galatasaray SK's protests and gave Şeray Hürkan a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Amasyaspor booed when Galatasaray SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Şeray Hürkan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Orbay Niyazi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aytuğ Koçubey having to interfere. Can Kasım took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tunç Ateşoğlu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Tunç Ateşoğlu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tunç Ateşoğlu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Can Kasım made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Tunç Ateşoğlu sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 76 minutes, Tunç Ateşoğlu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Galatasaray SK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tunç Ateşoğlu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tunç Ateşoğlu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Ekrem Hatırlı had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Can Kasım came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by Galatasaray SK's Vural Dilsaz. But to his dismay, Vural Dilsaz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. 90 minutes into the match, Vural Dilsaz notched a goal, 2-4, to the right of Amasyaspor's Can Kasım. Can Kasım was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Tunç Ateşoğlu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 97 minutes into the match, Amasyaspor's goalkeeper Can Kasım had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tunç Ateşoğlu.
