Spectators: 6677 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1677, VIP seats: 0) Kepez's Samir Durul started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Seyfettin Kaynak sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Kepez's zone, Bora İlbey stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kürşat Sümer came out of the goal and Bora İlbey tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to AyvalıGücü getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Kürşat Yaver hit a great ball. Özkan Tüzel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kürşat Sümer having to interfere. If Bora İlbey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 23 minutes into the match, Kepez's goal looked a bit too open when Özkan Tüzel came free, but Kürşat Sümer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 24 minutes, Alparslan Tahsin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kepez and the AyvalıGücü players grew even worse after the yellow card. Kepez's Kürşat Sümer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Özkan Tüzel in the 32nd minute of play. Kürşat Sümer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Özkan Tüzel in the 38th minute of play. Anıl Cenk Keçili fired away a difficult shot at goal in the 41st minute. He almost succeeded, but the ball went over. It was a very nice shot. In the 44th minute, Özkan Tüzel left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The AyvalıGücü fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Özkan Tüzel stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The AyvalıGücü fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Onuralp Keykavus should have stopped the shot.
