Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Galatasaray's Gani Tuğaltan got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Deniz Hakim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Galatasaray players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Asas were winning 0-1.

In the 87th minute, Esen Turalp left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Galatasaray fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gani Tuğaltan in the 91st minute of play forced Asas's goalkeeper Fatih Reşat to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Galatasaray booed when Asas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ergincan Demren didn't get a good kick on the ball. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
