Nebi Başat showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from İsrafil Yanal in the 5th minute of the match. Alp Özkutsal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sezen Şemsi having to interfere. Orhan Seyfi Daman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Sezen Şemsi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sezen Şemsi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alp Özkutsal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Şahap Yula fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Eregli's protests and gave Şahap Yula a yellow card for diving instead. In the 14th minute, Şahap Yula hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Şahap Yula kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Sezen Şemsi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alp Özkutsal in the 19th minute of play. Rafet Toregün hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. 24 minutes into the match, Eregli's goal looked a bit too open when Alp Özkutsal came free, but Sezen Şemsi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Orhan Seyfi Daman came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Köstence SK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Orhan Seyfi Daman couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Eregli booed when Köstence SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alp Özkutsal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Muhsin Saltukalp struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Sezen Şemsi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Köstence SK. The Köstence SK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nebi Başat should have stopped the shot. Mehmet Ali Kaya sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for İsrafil Yanal to strike the kick off in the second half. Nebi Başat showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from İsrafil Yanal, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. The supporters of Köstence SK booed when Eregli was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. But to his dismay, Alp Özkutsal quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. The audience was convinced that Alp Özkutsal's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sezen Şemsi was relentless in the 72nd minute of the game. Talat Buyruk might have been able to make a better finish in the 77th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sezen Şemsi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Talat Buyruk ran back to his position shaking his head. 79 minutes into the match, Köstence SK's goalkeeper Nebi Başat had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mehmet Ali Kaya. Köstence SK were furious when Orhan Seyfi Daman was red carded, 87 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. 86 minutes into the game, one of Köstence SK:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Nebi Başat had in the 89thth minute some difficulties stopping Kutlay Özdağ's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 91st minute the ball was on its way in behind Eregli's goalkeeper Sezen Şemsi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
