Necmi Uçarer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yalçın Tanbay in the 22nd minute of play. 24 minutes into the match, Mersin JK's goalkeeper Necmi Uçarer had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Baykam Onkal. In the 41st minute, one of Çarşamba Spor Kulübü:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Çarşamba Spor Kulübü. In the 42nd minute there was a penalty for Mersin JK. Akın Okdemir stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Baybars Üstün. 1-2. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Namık Fişek to make the kick off. Baybars Üstün didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ali Erdem Uygunel went, in the 51st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. Mersin JK's Resulhan Rakim shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 57th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Baybars Üstün but with some difficulty. When Kaan Murtaza came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Mersin JK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kaan Murtaza couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Çarşamba Spor Kulübü booed when Mersin JK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Akın Okdemir didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mersin JK's Necmi Uçarer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yalçın Tanbay in the 63rd minute of play. In the 64th minute, Mersin JK's Resulhan Rakim seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Resulhan Rakim the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Mersin JK protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Resulhan Rakim had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Mersin JK:s Necmi Uçarer showed great skill when he stopped Gökçek Zaim:s penalty. In the 73rd minute, Ali Erdem Uygunel fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yalçın Tanbay in the 76th minute of play forced Mersin JK's goalkeeper Necmi Uçarer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Recep Talha İncili kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. In the 78thth minute of the game Baykam Onkal who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mersin JK's Necmi Uçarer was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 78th minute, Akın Okdemir hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 82 minutes into the match, Çarşamba Spor Kulübü's goal looked a bit too open when Ali Erdem Uygunel came free, but Baybars Üstün reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mersin JK played a much better game than Çarşamba Spor Kulübü and deserved their victory. The Çarşamba Spor Kulübü players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
